In the summer of 2016, I attended a summer college course at Cornell University called Design Immersion. The three week intensive gave me a general introduction into many design disciplines starting with product design; we were assigned to create a pendant lamp out of just bristol paper. We then had to brand our lamp with a logo and package design. The final assignment was to create an exhibition for all the student’s lamps. Though the course was only a few weeks, it gave me a glimpse into the field of design which was exciting and inspiring.
